How Do I Play

Team Selection

In All Cards Wild, you are building a 5-player basketball team, using real professional basketball players and data. Create your team from a grid of the top 25 projected players for that night. Each user has 15-Credits to build their team with. A lineup consists of 5 players, one from each of the following positions: Point Guard, Shooting Guard, Small Forward, Power Forward, and Center.

Card Selection:

Next, select a Wild Card to play on each player on your team. The cards track the player's performance and reward Wild Card Points (WCP) based on specific metrics of that player's game-day performance.

Game Time:

Each player on your team may begin scoring points when their game for that day begins. The game window opens with the start of the first game of the day. Scoring concludes when the last game of the day has ended.

How Does Scoring Work?

Fantasy Points are scored by the players in your lineup. Points are awarded based on their real-world basketball stats.

Wild Card Points are scored by the cards you place on your players. These are awarded when players meet the specific statistics listed on the card. Some cards subtract points if the player fails to meet the stat.

The total score for a player is the sum of both their Fantasy Points and Wild Card Points. The total score for your team is the sum of all points earned by your lineup. Points can also be deducted if an opponent uses an Attack Card against you. These will be marked as “Attacks Against.”

During the live game window player scores will show up in one of three ways.

1. An em-dash “—” means that this player has not played yet.

2. A green dot means that this player's game is in progress and this score is not final

3. No modifier means the game is complete and that score is set.

Can I Change My Picks?

You can edit your player and card selections until the start of gameplay for that given night. Once games have started, editing will be disabled and your only option is to use the Halftime Adjustment.

Halftime Adjustment:

Once games have begun, your lineup and card selections are locked, but users do have the opportunity to make some modifications. A user can spend TOIbucks to change the card assigned to a specific player. Halftime Adjustments only work if that player has not begun the second half of their game. Players that are not eligible for the Halftime Adjustment will appear dimmed.

What is an Attack Card?

Attack Cards earn points by stealing them from your opponents and adding them to your own total. The negative effect of an Attack Card is split equally across every user in the league.

For example, the card "Butterfingers" will give your player +5 Wild Card Points if they have 4 or more turnovers. If there are 5 other users in the league, each user will lose 1 point. This will display in the "Attacks Against" section of the league dashboard.

How Do I Get Wild Cards?

When you play for the first time, you are given a free Starter Deck. This contains a certain number of cards that every new user receives upon creating an account. New cards can be purchased in the The Card Shop. Starter cards are only given to new players.

How Do I Create My Own League?

New leagues can be created by anyone. If you create a league, you will automatically become that league’s Commissioner. To create a league, tap the "New League" tab, then tap "Create a League" under the Pro Basketball section.

As a commissioner, you first set the 25-player grid. If you do not want to edit the grid, simply tap "Done." Next, give your league a name and create its cover art. Then, select your lineup of players and cards. Finally, invite others to join.

Once a league is created, it will exist for the entire season. However, players can join or leave at any time.

Why Does My Card Say Cooldown?

The same card may not be used in back-to-back nights in the same league. This cooldown will last until the next gameplay window is in session. A card on cooldown in one league may not be on cooldown in another. During these periods, try new cards!

What is the Gameplay Window?

Nightly games take place on a seasonal schedule that fully corresponds with the real-world professional basketball schedule. Games can typically be played any day of the week, depending on that season's schedule.

Since All Cards Wild games are played in a nightly format, scores are finalized at the end of each night, after all real-world games have been played. Each team's total score for the night is compiled and locked in as soon as all games for that night are complete.

What is the Commissioner Community League?

The user that owns, moderates, and manages a specific league.
